Don’t know the exact timeline but only four days after Gautam Gambhir was passed fit at a trial in Mumbai, Virender Sehwag declared he was fit too and raring to go in Chandigarh.
With the aid of modern science, physiotherapists and doctors can give a rough weekly date to mark the return of a player at the international level.
So the question from an Indian cricket fan is why is Sehwag not on the plane to South Africa? Were enough efforts taken to ensure his presence?
Given the rumours of a rift between MS Dhoni and Sehwag, what could be plainly an administrative constraint in fast-tracking Sehwag (only and only if he is fully fit to shoulder the intensive burden, sic) gives rise to the tingling feeling that enough was not done.
PS: On the names of the England squad members in the previous post, one name got missed and by an uncanny coincidence, Graeme Swann decided to serve notice.
So it is, “Swann helps England stay afloat with pride” after helping the Lions avoid the ignominy of a 7-0 defeat to Australia.
