MS Dhoni has a tight ship to navigate

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. It is a mantra that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lived by.
It has also been his first approach so as to separate the wheat from the chaff, and help make simplify some of tricky solutions that he has to, otherwise, make.
He has thrown the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the deep end. He did that with Umesh Yadav in the last game of the Tri-series. Gone for 20 runs in his first two overs, one would think he would have given him another couple of overs in over 30s of the innings but he chose to bring him at the death after the tight squeeze (read cushion) of Pravin Kumar’s spell was over.
The only place he can’t throw the gauntlet for his boys are the senior guys at the top. So while the Captain Cool is holding fort with some important contributions with the bat himself at No 6, the top order has been failing him.
Yet the guys in spotlight are Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman and every one is in wait for them to bow out in the sunset.
And Tendulkar has been pinned to a milestone. These are indeed tough times….
