FPL 2017/18 Gameweek 3: Plugging Zaha’s gap in the midfield

One red card for Cesc Fabregas’s in Gameweek 2 followed by an injury to Zaha has forced another use of the free transfer.
Much tempting as it is a Manchester United fan to use the opportunity to get in Paul Pogba / Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zaha’s dropped value of 6.9 million is not enough unless you take a four-point hit and mess up with Leroy Sane or Willian, who came in only last week.
Sane is still not kicked up a storm but I am not keen on being without cover for a Manchester City.
Watford’s Richarlison is making waves, but given West Brom and Hudderfield Town’s form and looking at their fixtures, the immediate man for the course has to be among Aaron Mooy, Chris Brunt and Matt Philips.
Brunt is carrying his form from the end of season and takes the edge for me.

It is slim pickings as far as the captain’s choice goes. Head says Jamie Vardy but the heart says it is time for Dele Alli and Harry Kane to fire. Kane I do not have so Alli it is with the armband.
If these forced stop-gap changes backfire, it may be a situation for a wild card. Hopefully it does not come to that.

All the best for Gameweek 3.
